1. Privacy at a glance

General information

The topic of data protection has always been of great importance to us as notaries. This is due not least to the fact that we, as notaries, are strictly bound to secrecy in accordance with Section 18 of the Federal Notarial Code.

Our employees and those of our service providers who (potentially) have access to documents located in our office or data stored by our office are also subject to this duty of confidentiality – which is sanctioned by various criminal regulations. Every employee and every service provider is obliged to do this right at the beginning of the respective activity, which in turn means that the relevant penal provisions then also apply to the people concerned.
